K.C. COOMBS SCHOOL <br /> SCHOOL COUNCIL METING <br /> SACH 2 ,2001 <br /> ENDED <br /> The K.C. Coombs School Council attended the Budget Meeting with other Town <br /> Departments prior to the formal monthly meeting. <br /> The meeting was then called to order at approximately ' : op.m. in a conference <br /> room on the lower level of Town Mall following a joint meeting of the Selectmen, <br /> Finance Committee and School Committee. Members i1ri attendance were: Louise Doyle, <br /> Christy Ridgley, Linda Kot,Kathleen Fenney, Lois Hirshberg, Jennifer La Favor and <br /> Lauretta Leone. <br /> No one was present for Open Forum. <br /> The January and February minutes were approved. Motion to accept minutes was <br /> made by Kathleen Penney and seconded by Lauretta E. Leone. Unanimous. <br /> Louise Doyle brought the council up to date on the re-design of the K-2 report <br /> card. The Report Card Committee's next meetffig will he held Tuesday, April 3, 2001. i <br /> The committee is planning to present the revised report card to the School Committee <br /> at the.May meeting so that it may he voted on at the June meeting of the School <br /> `here was a discussion regarding the lunch program. The revenues from the <br /> lunch program are down and Chartwells is having difficulty under the present system. <br /> A new system is being developed that would give a better breakdown of homer <br /> many lunches are being purchased at full price, reduced price, and free of charge. Snap <br /> cards are being considered as an alternative method of keeping track of and paying for <br /> lunches in the future. It is hoped that this would encourage greater participation by the <br /> children. <br /> 'here was also discussi <br />
