i <br /> i <br /> Kenneth.C. Coombs School <br /> School Council Meeting <br /> April 9, 2443 <br /> The meeting was called to order at 3:34 PM in the conference <br /> room. Present at the meeting were Louise Doyle, Linda Kot, <br /> Jennifer Lefavor, Kathleen Penney, Carolyn Ryan, Karen Tessicini, <br /> and Alison Robbins. <br /> 1. There weren't any open forum items on the agenda. <br /> Ii. APPROVAL OF APRIL MINUTES <br /> April minutes were approved with minor revisions. <br /> Unanimous. <br /> III. Child Identification Program <br /> C.H.I.P.S Program was held at the Kenneth C.Coombs <br /> on March 28, 2003. Volunteers included members of <br /> Masons, PTO, Mashpee Police, dentists, parents, and <br /> teachers. One hundred seventy plus students were identified <br /> on this evening. Forty-nine of the students were walk-ins. <br /> This is a wonderful community service. <br /> N. BUDGET UPDATE <br /> A major concern is funding the 8ffi kindergarten position as <br /> it is under a Class Reduction Grant. Enrollments are still <br /> coming in. <br /> Most supplies are included in the FY04 budget. General <br /> supplies for next year will be more limited. Possible' � <br /> solution to this problem would be to request that parents � <br /> send basic supplies from home if necessary. Parents on the <br />
