r
01
KENNETH C. COOMBS SCHOOL
SCHOOL COUNCIL STATEMENT
The Kemieth C. Coons School is the foundations that builds Mashpee's children into
the leaders of tomorrow. For the past five years, we have been asked to clip away at our
foundation an have readily complied. In order to keep our foundation intact, Vvelve been
able to ill the cracks with grant money. From year to year, we never know if the grant
money ill e a a'la le to adequately plan for our school. once again, e are being
asked to sacrifice our educational needs. This places greater stress on our foundation
that is being held together with questionable grant phoney.
As a council, we understand the demands that are put on your as a school cominittee and
greatly appreciate all that you do for the education of our students. We stroiigly support
Mrs. Doyle in her continuous efforts in maintaining the highest gtiallty of education
provided to all the children of Mashpec. The building blocs (foundation) of educatioll
begin at the preschool level and continue beyond the high school years. We can no
longer afford to have our foundation jeopardized. Please, carefully consider the
proposals we make today in the very best interests of Mashpee's future leaders.
