KCC School Council Meeting Minutes 2-11-04 I The meeting was called to order at 4:05 p.m. leo one was present for the Open Forum. The members present were Louise Doyle,, Michelle Lewis Rice, JR Mell, Ma a Martone, Patricia Bartolomel, Minif r L Fa or, Alsion Robbins,, Carrie urleln-Pit , Cal an LaCroix, Becky Romkey, Kathleen Penney, and Karen Tesslclni. The only absent member was David Pocl nett. II The January meeting minutes were read and approved. A notion to approve was lade lir Kathleen Penney, and Jennifer LeFa or seconded the motion. The minutes were unanimously approved. III Budget Review - 1. The budget proposal for staffing for FY05 was presented to the Elementary Sul conimitt e(see attached) . A. presentation by the School Council has been requested to be put on the February 25, 2004 School Committee finance meeting ageiida at the Superintendents office at 6:30 p.m. School council members are encouraged to attend for support. . Discussion of Level Funding Budget for next year which has been proposed by the town a. Level funding greatly affects our building clue to the number of grants we rely on for staffing. h. Discussed parents attending March School Committee meeting and town meeting to present at Open Forum, addressing hove level funding affects class size, accreditation, overall quality programming at the elementary level C. Discussed promoting NAYC accreditation so parents and community are aware of ghat this means Iv Parent/Student Handbook Review Will be discussed at next meeting.
