KCC School Council <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> 2-11-04 <br /> I The meeting was called to order at 4:05 p.m. leo one was present for the Open <br /> Forum. The members present were Louise Doyle,, Michelle Lewis Rice, JR Mell, <br /> Ma a Martone, Patricia Bartolomel, Minif r L Fa or, Alsion Robbins,, Carrie <br /> urleln-Pit , Cal an LaCroix, Becky Romkey, Kathleen Penney, and Karen <br /> Tesslclni. The only absent member was David Pocl nett. <br /> II The January meeting minutes were read and approved. A notion to approve was <br /> lade lir Kathleen Penney, and Jennifer LeFa or seconded the motion. The <br /> minutes were unanimously approved. <br /> III Budget Review - <br /> 1. The budget proposal for staffing for FY05 was presented to the <br /> Elementary Sul conimitt e(see attached) <br /> . A. presentation by the School Council has been requested to be put on the <br /> February 25, 2004 School Committee finance meeting ageiida at the <br /> Superintendents office at 6:30 p.m. School council members are <br /> encouraged to attend for support. <br /> . Discussion of Level Funding Budget for next year which has been <br /> proposed by the town <br /> a. Level funding greatly affects our building clue to the <br /> number of grants we rely on for staffing. <br /> h. Discussed parents attending March School Committee <br /> meeting and town meeting to present at Open Forum, <br /> addressing hove level funding affects class size, <br /> accreditation, overall quality programming at the <br /> elementary level <br /> C. Discussed promoting NAYC accreditation so parents and <br /> community are aware of ghat this means <br /> Iv Parent/Student Handbook Review <br /> Will be discussed at next meeting.
