There wcas leo one present for open Fol-tl.111. <br /> Present Nvere Karen Tessie1111, Michelle Le\alis-bice, Kathleen Penney, Patricia <br /> artolomei, Jeiinlfer LeFavor, Marla Martone and Calean Lacroix, Louise Doyle, <br /> and Carrie urlein-Pitz. Not present at the meeting were JR Mell, and Becky <br /> r on-i ey. <br /> II March minutes were read. Kathy Per icy motioned to accept the niniutes, and <br /> Jermifer L Favor seconded the motion. Corrections were noted and the illinutes <br /> were unanimously accepted. <br /> III Budget Update: <br /> l_ <br /> Parents suggested creative cuts vs. teacher per ouLnel cuts and this <br /> was presented at the School Committee nneetnig. The Coniniittee <br /> was asked to .reconsider the CLIts. No response from the School <br /> C rnni tee has been received at this Wile. <br /> 2. The amount offunds now needed for FY 05 school year budget is <br /> $500,000. <br /> Iv Review v of llan b k: This will be discussed at the next meeting. The MHS <br /> graphic Arts Department n ay do the printing for KCC. A suggestion was made to <br /> have volunteers do the bindings for the handbooks. <br /> V other: <br /> 1. ICC is looping into applying for a leading Recovery Program <br /> grant. It would involve hiring and training a I ending Recovery <br /> teacher to build ars internal reading program servicing love-level <br /> readers. Success rues of Reading Recovery Prograiiis are very <br /> high. There will be an in orin tion l meeting on .April "' t <br /> Lesley College. <br /> . KCC is plat- ming gradual improvements involving literacy <br /> development and assessment to our current program. Plans include <br /> eve opi g s lf�paeing gide for overall assessments for I -2 a <br /> well as specific portfolios at each grade level. <br /> . School Improvement Phan to be developed and seat to School <br /> Coag-imittee by nild June. <br /> .
