COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> MEETING AUGUST 8, 2018 <br /> MASHPEE SENIOR CENTER <br /> Present: Council on Aging Members: David Egel, Marijo Gorney, Jean Noussee, <br /> Virginia McIntyre, Norah McCormick, and Council on Aging Director Lynne <br /> Waterman <br /> Absent: Mary Gaffney <br /> Chairman David Egel opened the meeting at 8:30 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: July 11, 2018 <br /> Motion: Jean Noussee moved to approve the July 11, 2018 minutes, seconded by <br /> Virginia McIntyre. Vote unanimous 5-0 <br /> Public Comment-- None <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Director's Report <br /> The Director distributed her report for the month of July. She highlighted she met with <br /> several leaders of various ongoing activities. She also met with the Council on Aging <br /> volunteer who will be facilitating the Buried Treasures Workshop Series which will begin <br /> at the Senior Center in August. <br /> The Director met with the staff from the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority to aid with <br /> the paperwork required for the leasing of a new van which was delivered yesterday. <br /> The Director assumed the responsibilities of the Outreach Coordinator for the month of <br /> July and will do so until the new Outreach Coordinator is officially hired and begins her <br /> duties. <br /> The Director had participated in two meetings with the front desk volunteers to obtain <br /> their feedback in order to support them and to continue to provide good customer <br /> service to the public. She also met with several Friendly Visitor/Telefriend volunteers. <br /> The Director reviewed the meetings she attended which included Staff, Affirmative <br /> Action Committee, Parkinson Support Network of Cape Cod Board of Directors and <br />
