COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> MEETING NOVEMBER 14, 2018 <br /> MASHPEE SENIOR CENTER <br /> Present: Council on Aging Members: David Egel, Marijo Gorney, Jean Noussee, <br /> Norah McCormick, Council on Aging Director Lynne Waterman and Outreach <br /> Coordinator Lauren Haddad <br /> Absent: Mary Gaffney, Virginia McIntyre <br /> Chairman David Egel opened the meeting at 9:20 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: October 10, 2018 <br /> Motion: Jean Noussee moved to approve the October 10, 2018 minutes, <br /> seconded by Marijo Gorney. Vote 3-0-1 with Norah McCormick abstaining <br /> Public Comment— None <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Director's Report <br /> Lynne Waterman, Director, distributed her report for the month of October. She <br /> highlighted she met with several leaders of various ongoing activities. She met with <br /> some leaders and instructors to discuss future activities. <br /> The Director stated interviews for the Activity Coordinator positions were held and a <br /> recommendation was made. Her duties will begin in November. <br /> The Director reviewed repairs and inspections that occurred during the month. <br /> The Director noted the meetings she attended. She stated she and the Outreach <br /> Coordinator and one of the volunteers will be assisting with the Friendly Visitor <br /> Program. She also met with volunteers who agreed to help with the mailing list update. <br /> The Director, Volunteer Coordinator and two of the volunteers met to plan a quarterly <br /> newcomers' social. <br /> The Director announced the Volunteer and Program Support Coordinator Coordinator <br /> has resigned and thanked her for her good work. She also thanked COA's Chairman <br /> for attending the Executive Office of Elder Affairs training for Council on Aging boards <br />
