MASHPEE ENVIRONMENTAL OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> OCTOBER 10, 2018 - 6:30 P.M. <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> Present: Michael Talbot, Rick York, Ashley Fisher, Dale McKay, Tom Hoppensteadt, <br /> Joe Cummings <br /> Absent: Katelyn Cadoret, Andrew Gottlieb <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chair Michael Talbot opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES: <br /> September 12, 2018 <br /> Motion, Dale McKay moved to approve the September 12, 2018 minutes as amended. <br /> Seconded by Ashley Fisher. Vote unanimous 6-0-1 with Mr. Hoppensteadt abstaining. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discuss the Planning Board's Proposed Mixed-Use Planned Development Zoning Bylaw <br /> for the October Town Warrant to limit impact of the Proposed Mashpee Common's <br /> Expansion: Update <br /> Joe Cummings briefly reviewed the discussion from the Planning Board meeting regarding the <br /> Planning Board's Proposed Mixed-Use Planned Development Zoning By Law and stated the <br /> Planning Board may be withdrawing the article. <br /> Expanding the Single Use Plastic Bag Ban Bylaw: Review of and Decision on <br /> Suitability of Provincetown Plastic Straw and Polystyrene Bans for Mashpee <br /> Dale McKay reviewed the changes he was proposing for the Plastic Straw and Polystyrene <br /> Bans bylaws for Mashpee. Following a discussion, it was agreed Mr. McKay would make <br /> further revisions and the members will review them at the next meeting. <br /> ACTION ITEMS UPDATE <br /> Mashpee Greenway Re-design of and Funding for the Quashnet River Footbridge — No <br /> Update <br /> MCGAC: Update on Garden Clean-up: New Garden Design: CPC Funding. <br /> The Chair distributed a copy of the Community Garden Reconstruction Plan which included <br /> the existing garden footprint, garden fencing, garden beds, and native display and herb <br /> gardens. He noted the committee will be seeking funding through the CPC funds and asked <br /> the EOC members to approve a letter of support. <br /> 1 <br />
