13 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> December 18, 2018 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Deliberations on May 2019 Project Proposals: (continued) <br /> Acquisition of 12 Cypress Circle: TBD: <br /> At the last meeting, the CPC voted to authorize a real estate appraisal at the site, 12 Cypress <br /> Circle, Mashpee. If the project moves forward it is the recommendation of the CPC to authorize <br /> the funding to the care and custody of the Affordable Housing Trust for the purpose of the <br /> acquisition of 12 Cypress Circle for affordable housing purposes. <br /> It was disclosed the acquisition of the subject property would not impact the Mashpee <br /> Wampanoag Rod & Gun Club as abutters. However, the clearing of the lot for affordable <br /> housing may significantly reduce the vegetative sound barrier that would affect the abutting <br /> residential properties. <br /> The road also leading to the lot is undeveloped. Preliminary cost estimates range from $70,000 <br /> to $100,000 to re-construct the pavement. If funds for this property are transferred to the <br /> Affordable Housing Trust, it was recommended that no more than$150,000 be expended in total <br /> subsidy for the affordable home. <br /> The matter was taken under advisement to review the appraisal of the subject property. <br /> Acquisition of 646 Old Barnstable Road: $125,000: <br /> At the last meeting, the CPC voted to authorize an appraisal of the subject property. If this <br /> project moves forward, it is the recommendation of the CPC to authorize the funding to care and <br /> custody of the Affordable Housing Trust for the purpose of the acquisition of 646 Old Barnstable <br /> Road for affordable housing purposes. <br /> The matter was taken under advisement to review the appraisal of the subject property. <br /> NEXT MEETING <br /> Thursday, January 24, 2019—Mashpee Town Hall, 6:30 p.m. <br /> Continued Deliberations on Projects proposed for the May 2019 Special Town Meeting <br /> Review of Real Estate Appraisals <br />
