Mas hpee Affordable Housing Committee Meeting Minutes July 11, 2017 at 6:1 o pm Mashpee Town Hall Present: Chairman Walter Abbott, Allan Tsbitz, Berkeley Johnson Also Present; Wayne Taylor-Assistant Torn Manager, Mary Waagan-Planning Board Chair, Warn O'Hara- Selectman Absents Bruce Willard, Marie Stone CAFE TO ORDER Chairman Abbott opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. with a quorum and the roll was called, APPROVAL OF I IJTE -June 6, 2017 Minutes were deferred because there was no quorum of attending members. COMMITTEE ORGANIZATION Status of Appointments for 2017-18-Chairman Abbott inquired about the status of appointments and Mr. Taylor confirmed that all members had been reappointed and it would be-necessary for members to sign the appointment book with the Town Clerk. Mr. Taylor had attempted to reach out to Ms. Stone regarding the Committee appointment. Mr. Taylor noted that an appointment could be withdrawn through a request to Selectmen if a member was not in attendance at the prior three meetings, Committee Reor anization, Nomination of officers f Mr. Johnson made a motion to nominate Allan Ish itz as Chair. Mr. Abbott seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. Mr. Ishitz made a motion to nominate Bred Abbott as Vice Chair. Mr. Johnson seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. Mr. Abbot made a motion to nominate Berkeley Johnson as Clerk. Mr. Ishitz seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. The newly elected Chairman Isbitz tools over the meeting. Mr. Johnson expressed his appreciation for Mr. Abbott's leadership of the Committee for the past.4-5 years and wished him well in his role as vice Chair, adding that the Committee began moving forward under his leadership. Board of Selectmen Liaison-Selectman O'Hara.will continue as theCommittee's liaison to the Board of Selectmen. OED BUSINESS 50 Falmouth Road Feasibility Study-Mr. Taylor confirmed that the Affordable Mousing Trust had met the previous e ening and approved a request of funding from the Cape Cod Commission to complete the feasibility study for 950 Falmouth Road. An email had been sent today to the Cape Cod Commission requesting the funds. Once the funds were acquired, Mr, Taylor would be in touch with Horsley Witten to move forward, It was hoped that a kick off meeting would be scheduled before August 28. Mr, Taylor suggested the po ssibi lita of August 24 when the Selectmen would be meeting, Affordable Housing Trust, Status Report on Land 'Transfer-Mr. Taylor was looping into the transfer of the land to the Trust with Town Counsel.
