Selectman O'Hara noted that the Cape Cod Commission, Mashpee Commons and the State had <br /> already been talking and received a lot of support,but inquired about the f million received from the State to <br /> build the road. It was noted that they may be required to pay back the funds in order to get out of the % <br /> affordable requirement, Ms. Waygan recommended attendance at the meeting on September 6. <br /> New Properties for Habitat for Humanity-Chairman Abbott suggested having each Committee <br /> member revie r and assess the torn tax taping lands to identify potential sites for additional Habitat for <br /> Humanity housing. Mr. Abbott felt that there were potentially 10 sites that could be considered. Mr. Johnson <br /> stated that Habitat was not interested in the parcels located in Willowbend. Mr. Abbott distributed parcel <br /> assignments to Committee members. <br /> EDUCATION/MARKETING <br /> Cape-Wide Housing Institute for Elected & Appointed Officials-Joint initiative to partner to offer a <br /> Dousing institute beginning in the fall to acquire more information about developing affordable dousing on the <br /> Cape. A sign up form is available on the wobsite. Mr. Isbitz will forward the information to M1 . Taylor. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> June 30 Email from Anthony Cocuzzo, Quashnet Valley Estates-Mr. Abbott reported that he had <br /> received an email from lir. Cocuzzo about an association meeting in August, requesting an update on the status <br /> of 209 old Barnstable. Mr. Abbott prodded an update on the current status, with an assurance that they will be <br /> informed of any changes or' updates. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> Selectman O'Hara Update-Selectman O'Hara stated that they would be looking into a feasibility <br /> study for a parcel of land on orchard and Samspon Mill load for potential hotel, mixed housing and retail use. <br /> MEETING ADJOURNMENT <br /> Mr. Abbott made a motion to slip the August meeting to go to September 5. Mr. Berkeley seconded the <br /> motion. All voted unanimously+ <br /> The next meeting was scheduled. for Tuesday, September 5 at 6:30 p.m, <br /> Mr. Abbott made a motion to adjourn. Mr*.
