PERSONNEL BOARD MINUTES <br /> MEETING OF MARCH 23, 1995 <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> The following members of the Personnel Board were present for the meeting: Joseph <br /> Dellagala, Ronald Levine, and Norma Kumin. <br /> Chairman Dellagala convened the meeting at 3:00 p.m. <br /> Resignation of Data Collector <br /> Board members were advised that Joe Polito,Data Collector to the Assessing <br /> Department, has resigned from his position effective as of March 31, 1995, <br /> P.A,P, Review <br /> Relative to the discussion at the last meeting on an administration fee for C.O.B.R.A., <br /> Marilyn advised the Board that the Town does not charge any administration fee but <br /> could charge as much as 2%. Joe asked that it be noted under Section 7.5.2 Health <br /> Insurance. <br /> Marilyn also advised the Board that there are 316 112 days currently in the Personnel <br /> Administration Plan's sick bank. The Board agreed to change the wording under <br /> Section 7.3.5 Sick Leave Bank to make the contribution mandatory as of July 1, 1995. <br /> The Board felt that this would provide additional protection to the employee at a time of <br /> serious illness. <br /> The Board continued their review of the Personnel Administration Plan, starting with <br /> Page 32, Section 7.5.4 Return to Work, through Page 38, Section 8.2 Grievance <br /> Procedure. <br /> This completes the Board's first review of the Plan. Some additional follow up will be <br /> needed. The Jury Duty section and a policy for Personnel Records will be discussed <br /> further. Material for both of these items was passed out for the Board's review. They <br /> will check to see if the requirement of making an employee stay with the Town after <br /> receiving Educational Assistance is legal. The Family and Medical Leave Policy has <br /> been sent to Counsel for a review. <br /> Marilyn Farren indicated that she has started typing the document with the changes. <br /> Once typed, the Board will review the document one more time. <br /> Interviews for Clerk(Water District <br /> Marilyn reminded the Board that they will be interviewing for the Water District Clerk <br /> on Monday, March 27. Copies of applications were passed out. <br />
