PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> MEETING of SEPTEMBER 7, 1995 <br /> The following members of the Personnel Board were present, Chairman <br /> Joseph Dellagala, Carole Dunlvan, Norma Kumin and Ron Levine <br /> Chairman Dellagala convened the meeting at 9*00 a. m. <br /> Acceptance of Personnel Board Minutes <br /> Carole D. moved to accept the minutes of August 14, 1995. Norma K. <br /> seconded the motion. All were in favor. Carole D. moved to accept <br /> the minutes of August 21, 1995 with the following corrections; that <br /> the words "union contract" replace the word "hiring" in paragraph <br /> two, dine seven and the first and second recommendations be reversed. <br /> Norma K. seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br /> The Board will also recommend to the Personnel Administrator, Marilyn <br /> Farren, that the job description for Meavy Equipment Operator be <br /> changed to require a minimum of two years experience. <br /> Sargeant Lacava joined the Board meeting. <br /> ntery for <br /> _gRecialReserve Police officer <br /> Interview of Stephen Dematos. Joe D. described the position's <br /> requirements with the addition of a 20 hour requirement for training. <br /> Sgt. Lacava elaborated on requirements for the position., Stephen .D,, <br /> informed the Board that he was presently a full-time employee for <br /> Lockheed support System at Otis Arg. , and that he is also employed by <br /> Falmouth P.D. as a special Police -Officer. He added that he would be <br /> willing to resign from Falmouth if offered a position from M shpe <br /> P.D. as there are more opportunities for. advancement in Mashpee. Be <br /> also has attended Cape -CodCommunity -College 3 l years and will <br /> continue to pursue his Associates degree in Criminal Justice. The <br /> Board and Sgt. Lacava deferred any recommendations until further <br /> interviews had been conducted. <br /> Interview of John Sean) Doyle. Joe D. described the position's. <br /> requirements including the 20 hrs. required training. Sgt. Lacava <br /> elaborated on the job description. John D. presently holds a <br /> Bachelors Degree in Criminal. Justice and is currently unemployed, He <br /> Molds a temporary part-time position with the Falmouth P..D, as a <br /> Special Police officer. The Board felt that he was a motivated <br /> -candidate but deferred any recommendations until further interviews <br /> were conducted. <br /> Interview of Ralph Mahoney, Joe D. described the position's <br /> requirements including the of 20 hrs. required training. Sgt. Lacava. <br /> elaborated on the job description. Ralph M. is presently employed as <br /> .a court officer for the town of Plymouth. <br />
