PERSONNEL BA - <br /> MASBP E TOWN HALL <br /> MEETING .OF September 2 , 1995 <br /> The following members of the Personnel Board were present, Chairman <br /> Joseph D llac lla and Norma Kumin. Also j iniung the Board meeting <br /> were Gus Frederick, Director of Mashpee Leisure Services, Police <br /> Chief Pr ybylel , George Costa, Board of Selectmen, Nancy Caffyn, <br /> Board of Selectmen and Marilyn Farren, Personnel Administrator. <br /> Chief Pr rb le - : Auxiliary Pro r m <br /> Chief Przybylek discussed with the Board the position of <br /> Special/Auxiliary Police that the Personnel Board had preciously <br /> interviewed. It was decided that in future interviews the Personnel <br /> Board would interview for Auxiliary Police officers with the offer of <br /> dual rale as a Special Police Officer and that when publicized in <br /> the newspaper the term Auxiliary would be presented first. He <br /> explained that his primary concern was to build tip to a possible <br /> count of 12 Auxiliary Police Officers with the secondary role to be <br /> Special Police Officer and that the Auxiliary officers would be <br /> selected after the needs from present full-time Officers had been <br /> met, It was further discussed that when the Personnel Board <br /> interviews for this position that the term "unpaid-required training" <br /> would be used ire the job description for Auxiliary Police. Also, <br /> that a list would be kept on file for up to one year on applicants <br /> subject to renewal by the Board of Selectmen as they deem <br /> appropriate. <br /> Letter-from f ecial Police Recruit <br /> A letter was received from Ralph Mahoney who had previously <br /> interviewed for the position of Special Police Officer, He had <br /> expressed ,interest in pursuing a full-tire position and clarification <br /> of his intent to work for the Town Of Mashpee. Marilyn Farren will <br /> answer his letter and notify him that the next time interviews are <br /> conducted for this position he may reapply. <br /> Interviews for - Child Care Coo d ,nr <br /> The following applicants were interviewed, Helen Murray, Debra <br /> Schwartz, Mary Nielsen, Pat Mason and Peck Geary, Recommended to the <br /> Board. of Selectmen for hire was Peck Geary' <br /> The Personnel Board Meeting adjourned at 12:30 p.m. <br /> The next scheduled meeting of the Personnel Board is October 5, 1995 <br /> at 9:00 a.m. <br /> Respectful lytxb `tt ed, <br /> f <br /> Na y - terson <br /> Board ecretary <br /> np <br />
