MINUTES <br /> PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> MA PEE TOWN HALL � <br /> October 26, 1395 <br /> The following board members were present: Joe Bellagal.a, Chairman, <br /> Ron Levine, Marcia Lindsey, Carole D nivan, Marilyn Farren, Personnel <br /> Administrator and Bob Whritenour, Executive Secretary <br /> Acceptance of Minutes <br /> Ron L. moved to accept the minutes of October 19, 1995. Carole B. <br /> seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br /> Discussion with Bob Whritenour <br /> The Personnel Board and Bob W, discussed the Affirmative Action Plan <br /> at length. Bob W. informed the Board that the draft he had forwarded <br /> to the Board for comments was drafted from a plan in effect from the <br /> Town of Wareham. He also informed the Board that Peter Dinizio had <br /> asked him to obtain comments on the draft from the Board. Joe <br /> ellagaia indicated that he wanted to see union contracts and cross <br /> reference them with the P.A.P. currently in effect to see how they <br /> would interact with the Affirmative Action Plan. Joe D. also <br /> indicated that priorities should be set in drafting the plan with <br /> regards to goals-setting the first priority and policies in <br /> effect-being the second priority. Marilyn F. - indicated that Managers <br /> should be trained in policy enforcement with regards to the <br /> Affirmative Action Pian - A.A.,P. . Carole D. suggested that the Board <br /> Leet with Peter D, when the Board had thoroughly gone over the A.A.P. <br /> and provide him with their questions and comments before the final ' <br /> draft had been completed. Bob W. concurred with her suggestion. In <br /> the -discussion with Bob W, and the Board, the suggestion of a cost of <br /> living increase for the P.A.P. employees of would be submitted for <br /> the next Town Meeting to be retroactive July 1, 1995, and that two <br /> 1/2 increases would follow in succession. Bob W. suggested. that <br /> theBoard submit an article to the Board of selectmen for the next <br /> Town Meeting, The Board requested Marilyn F. to work up a salary <br /> schedule in conjunction with the M.M.A. Bob W, also indicated that <br /> Marilyn F. was the Affirmative Action -Officer, The Board decided t <br /> continue researching the draft at the next meeting and follow up with <br /> Peter D., 'with questions and comments and/or suggestions following <br /> that meeting. <br /> Training Ce tifi ate Program - Human Resources Development <br /> Marilyn F. informed the Board that she would be attending a 16 geek <br /> course in Human Resources Development and that it may interfere with <br /> future meetings. <br /> Ron L4 moved to adjourn the meeting at 12:23 p.m, Marcia L, se onded <br /> the motion. All were in favor., <br />
