' ^ MASHPEE PiANNlNG BOARD
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19, 1995
MUM-
A meeting of the Mashpee Planning Buard was called to orc|er at
Town Hall by Chairman Anthony Ferragamo on Wednesday, April 19,
1995 at 6: 42 p. m,
Present : Anthony Ferragamo, Chairman; Tana Watt ; Dennis
BaIzarini ; Pat Coffey (arr . 6: 46 p . m. ) .
Also present : F. Thomas Fudala, Town Planner ; Charles Rowley,,
Consulting Engineer .
Applicant : Allan , Morris, 203 Old Barnstable Road i
Location: Great Hay and Old Barnstable Roads |
Request : Discussion of concerns regarding Quashnet Valley |
|
development (Prime Properties) .
Mr . Morris said he lives across from the middle school and he
wants to find out if there are any plans for Great Hay Road to be
extended from Quashnet Valley to Old Barnstable Road. Mr . Fudala
explained the Board doesn' t have plans before it for completion
of the road, but the road was layed out as part of the Quashnet
Valley subdivision plan and could be built as part of the
subdivision. He said Great Hay Road has always been a poblic
way. Mr . Fudala said from the centerline to one side of the road
is owned by the town and the other half is privately owned and
believed it would take a town meeting vote to build the road.
(Mr . Coffey arrived) ~ Chairman Fmrragamo said the town may have
an interest in the road later on as part of a bypass plan from '
Job' s Fishing Rd.,
Mr . Morris said completing the road as intended when the
subdivision was approved 15 years ago, may not be the best plan
for now. Mr . Fudala said there' s no way the Beard can take that
plan approval back . Chairman Ferragamo explained the owner
wouldn' t come before the Board until they actually plan to build
the road, and there' s nothing before the Board now and so the
Board has no authority to act on his concerns. Chairman
Ferragamo suggested Mr . Morris speak with the developer .
Ken Marsters of Prime Properties was in the audience and Mr .
Morris asked him what their plans were. Mr . MarsTers said
there' s no plans for the immediate future and there' s nothing
before the Board. Mr . Marsters said he has an option to buy the
property from Mr . LaCava but he doesn' t own the land.
i
'
`
`
`
