r <br /> Page 3 <br /> Board of SeIectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 6, 1997 <br /> CQNfl4LTPflQATIONS AND COR ESPONDEI 7E- <br /> CorreWndence ftgm Qm Taylor re: I Braden Tho., so _ lum <br /> Communication was received from Greg Taylor,Director of Public <br /> Works dated January 6, 1997 recommending the Board accept the proposal <br /> received from Bill Fisher of w ,Environnnental <br /> Consultants to assess the I Braden Thompson Plume. <br /> It was noted that the I Braden Thompson Plume is presently located <br /> in the Town of Sandwich near Pimlico Pond Road,and lies within the <br /> area of Mashpee/Wakeby Pond. <br /> Sel ,a member of the Senior Management Board indicated <br /> that the above plume was an agenda topic at the last board meeting. <br /> Representatives from the EPA and DEP were present at the meeting held <br /> in late December. <br /> It appears the govermmnent is looking to tie this plume in with the FS-12 <br /> plume containment plan informed Selecunan Caffyn who strongly <br /> recommended the Board take action, and approve Mr. Fisher's assessment <br /> of the I Braden Thompson Plume on behalf of the Town. <br /> fir.Fisher submitted an estimate of$5,575 to assess the plume o <br /> discussion. The Board will consult the Town of Sandwich with regards <br /> to potential contributions for the evaluation and related scope of services <br /> as proposed since both towns are directly affected.. <br /> In addition,the Board requested the Executive Secretary schedule a meeting <br /> with Bill Fisher and representatives from the EPA and DEP to further <br /> address the issue of contamination and related clean-up process. <br /> r <br /> Corresp!2ndencgft.Qm1i h mmn r ' _vyelopnt 2=osal:, <br /> In response to the Board's memo of December 16, 1996 to Douglas Storrs, <br /> relative to the proposed expansion project of Mashpee Commons,the <br /> Selectmen's sub-committee consisting of Selectman Dini io, Selectman <br /> lar tern, and Tom Fudala, the Town Planner will review issues relative <br /> to the development proposal with members of 1 lashpee Commons,Ltd. <br /> on Wednesday, January 15, 1997 at 3;00 p.m. <br />
