Page 10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 2 , 1997 <br /> AI ITS AND HEARINGS;. <br /> Li u r Li en Hearin - Moytoy hinC5 <br /> Restaurant; (continued) <br /> Attorney Kirrane indicated that the subject premise as it currently exists <br /> is commercially zoned, and has operated as a restaurant facility for a <br /> number of years. <br /> Attorney Kirrane stated that an entertainment license is not the subject <br /> matter. There is no application before the Board for an entertainment <br /> license. <br /> A Chinese restaurant is proposed at the location with concentration <br /> primarily on food rather than beverage stated Attorney Kirrane. Based <br /> upon the present floor plan, approximately 160 seats can be accommodated <br /> at the subject establishment opposed to the initial application for 221 seats. <br /> The intended hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. seven days <br /> per week, Attorney Kirrane indicated that Mr. Wickstrom will co-manage <br /> the restaurant with Mr. Chu who has previous experience running this <br /> type of restaurant business. <br /> Approximately 15 to 20 persons will be employed. once again,the <br /> pnmary emphasis will be food consisting of 0% of sales, and beverage <br /> consisting of 20% of sales to benefit the public for general convenience <br /> stated Attorney Kirrane. <br /> Selectman Costa opened the Public Hearing to obtain comment. <br /> Jack Sullivan, a resident of 1lashpee Shores asked if this is the sane <br /> applicant that applied for a sushi/seafood restaurant? Mr.Whritenour <br /> replied that this is a true statement. <br /> 1r. Sullivan stated that approximately three months ago, his daughter <br /> overheard a conversation that the applicant intended to make the <br /> establishment into a Zachary's type of facility, <br /> Mr. Sullivan stated that he is opposed to any type of entertainment license <br /> t this particular location. He noted that a Chinese restaurant has opened <br /> in the Town of Sandwich and will be opening in Mashpee Commons. <br /> Peg Hrch asked if there is a planned menu for the Chinese restaurant? <br /> Selectman Costa indicated that a sample menu was presented to the Board. <br />
