Page 2 <br /> r <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 27, 1997 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> hi f Police nvi n]nu: <br /> William C.Pr ybylek, Chief of Police was present to request the <br /> Board amend the present guidelines of the Chief of Police Citizens <br /> Advisory Cottee. <br /> For the advisory committee to effectively advise the Chief of Poke <br /> on a regular basis,input should be provided on a broad community <br /> wide perspective to function more effectively and better represent the <br /> concerns of the community indicated Chief Pr ybylek. <br /> Discussion followed with regards to the initial makeup of the committee <br /> and existing guidelines. Chief Pr ybylek suggested to amend the <br /> guidelines to include additional community groups to those presently <br /> identified. It was noted that the changes would incorporate new members, <br /> and not diminish any present ones, for the benefit of all. <br /> In addition, it was suggested that the Chief of Police,and not the Board <br /> of Selectmen, appoint committee representatives from each group, <br /> and encourage the required meetings to be reduced to a quarterly meeting <br /> schedule. <br /> The Chief Pr ybylek was directed by the Board to draft an amended set of <br /> guidelines for review and consideration. <br /> Request for Abatement of Ambulance Bills: <br /> Fire Chief George Baker was present to request the Board approve <br /> the list of ambulance bill abatements as presented in his memo of <br /> January 6, 1997 to the Executive Secretary. (enclosed) <br /> Motion n made by Selectman Frye to approve the Ambulance <br /> Bill Abatements as requested. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio. <br /> Unanimous. 3-0. <br />
