Prybyle , Chief of Police was present to discuss his <br /> recommendations to the Board regarding the operation of the Flea Market. <br /> As noted,the Chief was requested to review area traffic concerns and <br /> the assignment of police officer private details, <br /> Chief Przybylek recommended that they direct, through the Board of <br /> Appeals, that the Special Use Permit require that a gate on the <br /> access goad be constructed, and in place no later than,lune 2 , 1997. <br /> Further, the Chief recommended that the Special Use Permit require <br /> that the gate be closed between 10;00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. of any day when <br /> the Flea Market is open to the public to include a clause whereby the <br /> gate may be opened during that time frame when advised by a M shp e <br /> police officer. <br /> In addition, Chief Przybylek suggested the Board approve the staffing <br /> of a Ilashpee police detail officer to be employed by the Flea Market from <br /> 9:00 a.m. to 5;00 p.m. on the Saturday, and the Sunday of each weekend, <br /> beginning with June 2 , 1997 and continuing through August 31, 1997. <br /> Chief FIrzybyIek recommended that a 1 lashpee police detail officer be hired <br /> n the Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend,d,and the Saturday <br /> and Sunday of Columbus Day weekend. The Friday of July 4, 1997 shall <br /> k also include the use of a 1lshee police detail officer, <br /> Chief Przybylek indicated that the staffing levels were acceptable with <br /> Albert Wiseman,proprietor of the Flea Market. The foregoing would <br /> provide an officer on 25 days for a total of 200 hours through the summer <br /> peak months. <br /> Mr. Wiseman was also agreeable to the construction of a gate to prohibit <br /> access to the Flea Market in an effort to control traffic near the <br /> entrance of Deer Crossing. <br /> The Board of Appeals has schedule a hearing on the Special Use Permit <br /> of the Flea Market on Wednesday, March 26, 1997 informed Chief <br /> Przybyle . <br />
