a <br /> Page 8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 28, 1997 <br /> APP AND B A INIS <br /> Public Hearin - Route 130 Corp, d/b/a Kansai Chinese Restaurant: <br /> (continued) <br /> Jack Sullivan stated that he is opposed to the plan layout as proposed <br /> for an outside cocktail bar. <br /> David Connors stated that he resides across the street, and is concerned <br /> with late night noise. In the past, the Chief of Police stated that he could <br /> not afford to patrol the area informed Mr. Connors. <br /> Anoinette Brooks added that she was frightened with the noise emanating <br /> from the former restaurant facility. <br /> Mary Mika suggested the Board review a complete business plan, and <br /> menu to further review the feasibility of such a facility without <br /> enterminment. <br /> Joan Marks read aloud a letter from Ms. McCarthy in opposition to the <br /> restaurant, and in concern with the excess noise. <br /> Mrs. Whitney stated that the facility has buildings located in the rear of <br /> the establishment that are in disrepair, <br /> Mr.Wallace indicated that if the restaurant were a success, the area <br /> residential properties would be devaluated. <br /> Selectman Costa requested a hand count of those opposed to the <br /> restaurant proposal. 'Twenty-two residents were opposed. By a show of <br /> hands, none were in favor. <br /> Being no further comment, Selectman Costa requested a vote from the <br /> Board to close the Public Dearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> T : Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> It was noted that all property and personal taxes have been paid through <br /> last year. <br />
