w <br /> Page 2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 2 , 1997 <br /> APPQIN3MNTS ANDHEARINGS: <br /> Director ofPublic_ Wgrks. <br /> . m. <br /> Greg Taylor,Director of Public works was present to address the <br /> following issues with members of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> S treet- i ht Roo. <br /> The Street Light Committee held its annual meeting, and recommended <br /> the Board include for public safety, the addition of eight street lights <br /> within the Town of Mashpee at locations described in Mr. Taylor's memo <br /> to the Burd dated April 18, 1997. (enclosed) <br /> Operational costs for each street light amounts to approximately $1200 per <br /> year informed Mr. Taylor who noted that funds presently exist within his <br /> operational budget earrnarled for utilities. <br /> It was noted that the proposed street lights with the exception of the one <br /> to be placed at the intersection of Rte. 2.8 and Donna's Lane will be placed <br /> on existing utility poles. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the request <br /> f the Street Light Committee as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio. <br /> Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Mr. Taylor indicated that he will present the Board's reconunendation to <br /> Commonwealth Electric Company for consideration. <br /> R, gu st for Repair to Private Road: <br /> Mr. Taylor recommended the Board assist the residents of Leamington <br /> Lane, and provide emergency drainage repair consisting of one drain and <br /> a leach pit for the sum of$2,000. <br /> It was noted that funds presently exist within the Emergency Repairs to <br /> Private Roads account. lir.Taylor has discussed this matter with area <br /> residents,and explained the need for neighborhood participati <br />
