The Direetor noted her goals are to provide training for the new Activity Coordinator <br /> orientation and training} continue to plan the annual recognition event with the Volunteer <br /> Coordinator and begin the work on the end of the fiscal year budget, <br /> Motion: Irving Goldberg moved to accept the Director's report, seconded by David <br /> Egel. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br /> TREASURER'S REPORT <br /> Director Waterman distributed the budget report for the month of April and reviewed the <br /> numbers with the rnernbers. <br /> Motion: David Egel moved to accept the 'Treasurer's Report, seconded by Mary <br /> Gaffney. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br /> OUTREACH COORDINATOR'S REPORT <br /> Darlene Perkins, Outreach Coordinator, distributed her report for the month of April. <br /> The Outreach Coordinator rioted she has been working with seniors on fuel assistance, <br /> SNAP applications and referrals to SHINE. The Outreach Coordinator met with the <br /> domestic violence officer from Mashpee police Department., There were 24 participants <br /> in the Brown Bag program with 5 volunteers. <br /> The outreach Coordinator meets monthly with volunteers. Four Mashpee residents <br /> turned 90+during the month and received flowers delivered by Council on Aging <br /> volunteers. <br /> The Outreach Coordinator stated she and a volunteer offered a presentation, on .Ageism. <br /> Consciousness-Raising. She attended a training on SNAP and Housing advocacy <br /> provided by Mass Law Reform. <br /> She reviewed several meetings she attended one of which was the Independence House <br /> Counselor who is setting up an Elder Abuse program for ,dune 16 in recognition of Elder <br /> Abase month. They will he presenting the Clothes Line Project to educate seniors about <br /> Domestic Violence. <br /> Motion: Irving Ooldbcrg moved to approve the outreach Coordinator report, <br /> seconded by David Egel. Vote unanimous -ll <br /> VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR REPORT <br /> Director Waterman distributed and reviewed the Volunteer Coordinator report for the <br /> month. of April. She along with the Volunteer Coordinator is continuing to prepare for <br /> the Recognition Luncheon along with the Library Director. The luncheon will he held on <br /> June 9 at noon. <br />
