COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> MEETING JUNE 1432017 <br /> Present; Council on Aging Mernbers: Jean I oussee, Marko Dorney, David Egel, <br /> Mary Gaffney, Council on Aging Director Lynne Waterman. and Outreach Coordinator <br /> Darlene Perkins. <br /> Absent: Irving Goldberg,Norah McCormick, Virginia McIntyre <br /> Acting Chairman Martio Dorney opened the meeting at 8:35 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTE —May 10, 2017 <br /> Motion: David E el moved to approve the minutes of May 10, 2017, seconded by <br /> Mary Gaffney. Vote 4-0 <br /> Public Comments <br /> COMMUNICATIONS ATION AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br /> Director Lynne Waterman distributed her report for the month of May. The Director <br /> highlighted she met with several leaders of various ongoing activities and planned several <br /> summerprogram events. She also began training the new Activity Coordinator and met <br /> with staff from a local assisted living facility to discuss future possible programs <br /> The Director stated a new van was requested from the Cape Cod Regional Transit <br /> Authority and itis expected a new vehicle will be delivered next year. In the meantime <br /> e irnay swap our current vehicle with a lower mileage vehicle from the CCRTA. <br /> The Director thw ed the DPW for several repairs they made. The annual inventory was <br /> completed and submitted to the Town and the inspection of the kitchen fire suppression <br /> system was completed. <br /> The Director thanked the gardening volunteer for the plantings in the patio area and <br /> entryway, The Director also trained two volunteers who have begun greeting paxticipants <br /> in the lobby area. <br /> The Director stated Susanne Murphy,the new Activity Coordinator, has begun her duties. <br /> She noted this position is part time and is paid for through the State formula grant.. She <br /> also recommended a candidate for the van driver"s position and it is anticipated he will <br /> begin in June. <br />
