COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES SEPTEMBER 13, 2 017 Present: Council on Aging Members: David Ege , Jean Noussee, Virginia McIntyre, Irving Goldberg, Council on Aging Director Lynne Waterman and Outreach Coordinator Darlene Perkins. Absent: Marijo Gorney, Mary Gaffney, Norah McCormick Chairman David Egel opened the meeting at 8:30 a.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES —August 9, 2 017 Motion: Irving Goldberg moved to approve the minutes of August 9, 2017, seconded by Jean Noussee. Vote 4-0 Public Comments - None COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE DIRECTOR'S REPORT Director Lynne Waterman distributed her report for the month of August. The Director highlighted she met with several leaders of various ongoing activities. The Director and the Activity Coordinator planned fall programs in recognition of National Senior Center Month. She noted the Activity Coordinator has been distributing an activity survey to our participants which assist in planning and developing programs and activities to meet Mashpee seniors' needs. A neve Zumba instructor began and the class participation is excellent. The Director and the Outreach Coordinator met with staff from the YMCA of Cape Cod to discuss working together to assist Mashpee seniors. The van is novo operating on a full schedule since the neve driver began his duties. The Director thanked DPW Who completed several building repairs including the annual cleaning of the windows. The Director participated in the annual review for the Mature Worker receptionist Who is placed here by the Elder Services of Cape Cod. The Director reviewed the meetings she attended including she and the Outreach Coordinator participated in a meeting of Cape Cod Councils on Aging with staff from the neve Regional Emergency Services Program. The Director has been working on preparing the FY 2019 Council on Aging budget. The Director and Outreach Coordinator prepared the annual SGA report which is required by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs.
