r ' h Page 5 Board of Selectmen Minutes May 27, 1997 NEW BUSINESS: 'F Desi nation of Local Water Resource Management Official.• Correspondence was received from the Mashpee Water District dated April 22, 1997 requesting the Board assign David Rich,the Water District's Operations Manager as Mashpee's Local Water Resource Management Official. } Mr.Fudala presented a memo to the Board dated May 6, 1997 relative to the designation, and requested that no change be warranted at this time. FS It is the consensus of the Board to retain Tom Fudala as the Town's Local Water Resource Management Official. It was noted that Mr.Fudala has been thea appointed designee since 1989. pp g j *No action. w. COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: Mash ee Commons Review Committee Update: Selectman Dinizio and Selectman Marsters,members of the Mashpee ry Commons Review Committee gave an update to the Board on the Mashpee Commons development proposal. Correspondence was received from Douglas Storrs dated May 21, 1997 relative to the meeting of May 14 1997 and the specifics of the p development agreement between the Town of Mashpee and Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership. (MCLP) As noted, MCLP will provide a description of each of the neighborhoods surrounding the "core" of Mashpee Commons. Included would be both detailed factual information, and broad descriptions of certain aspects of development proposed for these areas. Based upon the review of the information,the Mashpee Commons Review Committee and MCLP would agree on a scope of services for a Fiscal Impact Assessment informed Selectman Dinizio. When the scope has been agreed upon, MCLP would engage a firm well-versed in this form of development to complete a Fiscal Impact Assessment. Once the study is completed, the Town would engage a consultant to review the findings of the assessment informed Selectman Dinizio. The Office of T.J. Martin was selected by the Town to conduct the 'S findings review. It is the consensus of the Board to seek payment or reimbursement from MCLP for the services of T.J. Martin.
