Page 8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> Jure 23, 1997 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request of Waterways Commission: <br /> Correspondence was received from Jim Hanks, Chairman of the Waterways <br /> Commission dated June 19, 1997 relative to bathymetric surveys of the <br /> Popponesset Bay area as part of the Waterways overall improvement <br /> program. <br /> The Board was requested to authorize up to$500 for this endeavor. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the request of <br /> the Waterways Commission to conduct the bathymetric surveys <br /> for a sum not to exceed; $500. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters, <br /> TE: Unanimous. S-o. <br /> Approval of Contract for Sealer of Weights and Measures: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the Personal <br /> Services Agreement for the Seater of Weights and Measures <br /> as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> TE: Unanimous. S-o. <br /> CemetM Stud Pro osal Recommendation: <br /> Selectman Caffyn, Chairman of the Cemetery Study Committee <br /> requested the Board defer approval of the preliminary study proposals <br /> at this time. <br /> It was noted that the two proposals received were well over budget. <br /> An additional meeting will be arranged with both entities to further discuss <br /> the project scope informed Selectman Caffyn. <br /> *Future agenda. <br />
