Page S <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 7, 1997 <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT: <br /> None at this time. <br /> JR1SR HIGH SCHOOL: <br /> It was noted that sod was installed in the athleticP ra.ctice fields 1 <br /> ds as <br /> authorized by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> MMR ISSUES: <br /> Selectman Dinizio and Selectman Costa attended the informational <br /> meeting sponsored by Representative Tom Cahir in the Town of Sandwich <br /> relative to MMR updated activities. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Robert Sherman re: Herring Ladder Repair: f <br /> Robert Sherman, Conservation Agent was present to update the Board <br /> on the construction of the herring ladder. As noted, work has <br /> commenced on the project made possible through grant funding and <br /> Town Meeting appropriation. <br /> Our aim is to remove 900 of the pavement in the northern location of <br /> the herring ladder to remove direct run off into the Mashpee River <br /> informed Mr. Sherman. It was noted that southern herring ladder is <br /> located in the area of the Indian Museum, and will be addressed. <br /> To allow for additional flow control, the ladder may be elongated <br /> explained Mr. Sherman. If there is an expenditure shortfall, the Finance <br /> Committee will be requested to grant additional assistance. <br /> Adjournment: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Dinizio to adjourn at 7:11 p.m. <br /> The Board will enter into Executive Session at this time for <br /> the purpose of discussing collective bargaining. The Board <br /> will not resume in Open Session. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> YOTEI, Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Roil Call vote: George, yes Kenneth, yes <br /> Peter, yes Opposed, none <br /> Kathleen M.
