Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 6, 1997 <br /> Present: Selectman Costa, Selectman Frye, Selectman Marsters, <br /> Selectman Caffyn, Selectman Dinizio <br /> Executive Secretary Robert Whritenour <br /> Assistant to the Executive Secretary Joyce Mason <br /> Town Counsel David Doneski <br /> Meeting Called_to Q by Chairman Costa at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Middle School. <br /> pi2my—al !ufEun&aAmlicatl'Qnf—uS-cholarin R 1 . <br /> The Board received an application from Morgan I Peters <br /> requesting approval of his grant application for funding in the amount <br /> of$21,500 for a Scholar in Residence Program. <br /> Mr. Peters has proposed to research the life and work of Reverend <br /> William Apes who came to Mashpee in the early 1800's. Mr. Peters <br /> intends to create a one-actor historical play about the life of Mr. Apes <br /> if the grant is attained from the Bay State Historic Commission. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the Scholar <br /> in Residence Program grant application as outlined* <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizioe <br /> VOIE�*.* Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to adjourn at 6:33 p.m. <br /> The Board will enter into Executive Session at this time for <br /> the purpose of discussing collective bargaining. The Board <br /> will resume in Open Session after discussion. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> Unanimous. 5w0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: George,yes Curtis,yes Kenneth,yes <br /> Nancy,yes Peter,yes Apposed,none <br />
