i Page I Board of Selectmen Minutes February 26, 1996 NEW BUSINESS: 3yan-ant for Annual,Town Meeh= To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from - available funds,a sum of money to the Stabilization Account. Motion made.by Selectman Dinizio to remove Article ##45 from the Annual Town Meeting warrant. Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. • Unanimous. 3-0. The Police Chief,Board of Health, Conservation Agent and Council on Aging Director will be requested to meet with the Board of Selectmen to discuss the Annual Town Meeting warrant. ,The Board further reviewed the Annual Town Meeting warrant. Article#24; To create three part-tune seasonal positions: ,A Naturalist/Interpretive Tour Guide and Coordinator Two positions of Interpretive Tour Guide It is the consensus of the Board to develop a fee structure to offset printing costs for tour guide booklets. Communication was received from the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce requesting to use a portion of the room tax to offset guide booklet fees. It is the consensus of the Board to include as a line item in the budget, the sum of$4,000 for thisP urpose to promote tourism in Mashpee. Article 1L2& To provide a 20'bikeway/walkway easement along the south side of Rte. 130 from the Barnstable town line to Heritage Park. Selectman Caffyn suggested to include additional funds to prepare for a future water main connection. Town Counsel will be consulted with respect to this matter. A ' I -#-2(x,--, To Yacquire b purchase or eminent domain for conservation q purposes,a parcel of land containing 2.73 acres, generally located on Grafton Pocknett Road and surrounded by the area known as John's Pond Park. The Board requested to include a map to depict the site location,and to obtain an assessment value of above property for further review.
