3 <br /> Page 11 <br /> Board of S electme n <br /> Minutes <br /> March 18, 1996 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Street Betterment Abatements for Consideration: <br /> Michael Forde and John Palmieri were present to request the Board <br /> abate (2) street betterment's located in John's Pond Estates depicted on <br /> Map 71,Block 171, and Map 64, Block 68. <br /> It was noted that Map 71, Block 171 has a 30'frontage, and Map 64, <br /> Block 58 has a 50' frontage. Both lots are unbuildable and held in common <br /> ownership as open space. The late filed application was due to improper <br /> notice of betterment. <br /> Mr.Whritenour recommended the Board approve a 50%reduction of <br /> abatement in the amount of$1,436.12 for each lot as per past practice <br /> for unbuildable lots, and accept the late application since the original notice <br /> was not sent to correct property owner. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Mills to approve the <br /> recommendation of the Executive Secretary for a 50% <br /> abatement in the amount of $1,436.12 for each lot declared <br /> unbuildable. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Dinilio. <br /> V TE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Discussion followed with regards to the abatement request received <br /> from Gloria M. Stankowski. <br /> Mr.Whritenour recommended the Board deny the request for abatement. <br /> It was noted that the betterment order was dated July 1, 1991. The <br /> abatement period expired on January 1, 1992. The property,located in <br /> the Briarwood section of Mashp ee has four lots that have been combined to <br /> form two buildable lots. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to deny the abatement request <br /> of Gloria M. Stankowski as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Mills. <br /> YOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
