Page 10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 25, 1995 <br /> BudLyetlwarrant Disc scion <br /> Denanmen of Publig.W. rks <br /> Greg Taylor,Director of Public works was present to discuss his <br /> expense and salary budget with members of the Board of Selectmen <br /> and Finance Committee. <br /> Mr.Whritenour indicated that the budget as prepared and approved of <br /> by the Board of Selectmen is appropriate for the Department of Public <br /> Works. No change; $865,090. <br /> NE B INE • <br /> DPW Director re: Great Oak Road Status Report: <br /> Mr. Taylor requested the Board approve a change order to the Great oak <br /> Road project in the amount of$21,,989 to provide additional drainage to <br /> provide improved surface drainage and liquid asphalt treatment of the base <br /> course. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve the change order <br /> as requested in the amount of $21,959 to improve Great oak <br /> Road as outlined. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Mills. <br /> YQIF,: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Total contract as amended: $565,0$6. <br /> EMgrg <br /> &ncyRepLiQ to AlgQnquin Avg,.: <br /> Mr. Taylor indicated that Algonquin Avenue,a private road that services <br /> two neighborhoods is in poor condition, and throughout the winter has <br /> broken up with several dangerous conditions. <br /> The sum of$7,000 will repair the flagrant potholes and add base material. <br /> It was noted that the sum of$7,000 remains in the Emergency Repairs to <br /> Private Roads Account. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the Emergency <br /> Repairs to Algonquin Avenue as outlined for the sum of <br /> $6,000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Mills. <br /> YQTF.: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> It was noted that the Board authorized the expenditure of$l,000 at the <br /> last meeting for emergency repairs to the above. <br />
