Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 22, 1996 <br /> APPOI=NTS AND HEARIN <br /> • <br /> Public Hearing- Annual Pow wow: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve the special events <br /> application of the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council, <br /> Inc, for the Annual Pow Wow as presented, and subject to <br /> the restrictions as set forth by the Police and Fire <br /> Departments. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Mills stepped down, <br /> Public H - Summg Trolley aLin Bus,Servigg: <br /> Selectman Vaccaro opened the Public Hearing on the proposed revisions <br /> of the routes and schedules for the Mashpee Circulator bus, and the <br /> Mashpee Trolley summer service,and the SeaLine bus service to <br /> Barnstable and Falmouth. <br /> Tom Fudala,the Town Planner and Joseph Potzka of the Cape Cod <br /> Regional Transit Authority Administrator were present to address the <br /> proposed service with members of the Board and interested public. <br /> Mr.FudalaP resented a map of the Mashpee Trolley summer routes, <br /> and related service timetable for review. (enclosed) <br /> Brad Caffyn asked if the service has given consideration to increase <br /> the routes to accommodate the Barnstable County Fair and Annual Pow <br /> Wow for those who cannot drive to these events. <br /> Mr.Fudala stated that in the past,there has been a decrease in bus service <br /> during the above two events. In addition,some residents do not want to <br /> g o to John's Pond Park during this time as a result of increased traffic flow. <br /> Mrs. Antone indicated that there needs to be more advertisement about <br /> the service. She favors the trolley service in the east section of Mashpee. <br /> Being <br /> no further comment Selectman Vaccaro requested a vote from the <br /> Board to close the Public Hearing. <br /> i n made b Selectman Costa to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Moto y <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Mills. <br /> VOTJL: Unanimous. S-o. <br /> Selectman Gaffyn recommended to further emphasize the key attributes of <br /> Mashpee to promote tourism. <br />
