Page 2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 3, 1996 <br /> ALPNTS AND I-IEA& QS: <br /> Town Planner-pen Saas,Plan: <br /> Tom Fudala,the Town Planner wasesent to discuss the Town open <br /> Pr ; . <br /> Space Conservation Recreation Plan with members of the Board of <br /> Selectmen. <br /> I <br /> Mr.Fudala indicated that the current draft of the open Space Plan is <br /> a necessary prerequisite to receiving land acquisition funding assistance <br /> under the Self-Help grant program. <br /> It was noted that the goals and objectives were taken verbatim from those <br /> formally adopted by the Planning Board as part of the Town's Local <br /> Comprehensive Plan. <br /> In addition,it is necessaryto formally endorse and submit comment to <br /> � <br /> the open Space Plan. Mr.Fudala indicated that letters of endorsement <br /> have been secured by the Planning Board and Cape Cod Commission. <br /> Mr.whritenour recognized Mr.Fudala's efforts to meet the application s <br /> deadline and outline the goals and objectives. It was noted that the Plan <br /> provides a comprehensive depiction of MashPee s historical,present, andiHl- <br /> future open space recreational resources,needs and opportunities. <br /> iW <br /> Mr.whritenour recommended the Board endorse theen Space Plan <br /> op p � <br /> as presented., and act as the formal agency to present the plan to the <br /> Executive Office of Environmental Affairs as outlined. <br /> Motion made b Selectman Costa to approve and endorse <br /> y Pp <br /> the open Space Conservation and Recreation Plan as <br /> presented, and authorize the Executive Secretary to forward <br /> the Plan to the appropriate entities as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTIL: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Caffyn abstained. <br /> TT^Plann r-RFP D v 1 m n on ul t <br /> .;j <br /> Mr.Fudala requested the Board seek proposals to provide a development <br /> impact analysis,foc u sed primarily on fiscal impact,relative to proposed <br /> re-zoning to allow a large residential/commerclal mixed development. <br /> i' <br /> I <br /> .I <br /> It was noted that Mashpee Commons,Ltd.Partnership,owner and <br /> P <br /> developer of Mashpee Commons seeks zoning changes to allow the <br /> of their project b 500-800,000 square feet of commercial <br /> expansion P J Y <br /> area, and approximately 400 residences of various types. <br /> I <br />
