Appointment of Administrative Secret --Police D e artment: Communication was received from Police Chief Przybylek dated July 18, 1996 requesting the Board appoint Nancy L.Peterson to the position of Administrative Secretary to fill the vacancy created by Barbara Costello. It was noted that the position was posted in-house. Three candidates applied for the position. Two withdrew their application. The Personnel Board concurs with the Police Chief s recommendation for appointment. Selectman Caffyn requested to defer appointment at this time, and further review the matter of hiring with the Personnel Board. It was noted that the applicant is a non-standard part-time Board Secretary, and not a union employee. Motion made by Selectman Marsters to defer the appointment of Administrative Secretary to the Police Department until August 1, 1996 as requested. Motion seconded by Selectman Costa. T E: Unanimous. 5-0. APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: Public Hearin -Limousine License: Selectman Dinizio opened the Public Hearing on the application of Paradise Limousine, Theodore R. Dickerson,President for a permit to operate a limousine business at 24 Ryan's Way,#21, Mashpee. Mr. Dickerson was present to discuss the license application with the Board and interested public. As noted,one vehicle will be stored on premises for the purpose of weddings,proms, trips to Logan, and a night on the town. Selectman Dinizio opened the Public Hearing to solicit comment. Being none, Selectman Dinizio requested a voted from the Board to close the Public Hearing. Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to close the Public Hearing. Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters, VQTE: Unanimous. 5-0. It was noted that all necessary paperwork is in order for approval.
