Page 2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 29, 1996 <br /> NEW BUS INES S. <br /> Appointment of Administrative Secret --Police D e artment: <br /> Communication was received from Police Chief Przybylek dated <br /> July 18, 1996 requesting the Board appoint Nancy L.Peterson to the <br /> position of Administrative Secretary to fill the vacancy created by <br /> Barbara Costello. <br /> It was noted that the position was posted in-house. Three candidates <br /> applied for the position. Two withdrew their application. The Personnel <br /> Board concurs with the Police Chief s recommendation for appointment. <br /> Selectman Caffyn requested to defer appointment at this time, and further <br /> review the matter of hiring with the Personnel Board. It was noted that <br /> the applicant is a non-standard part-time Board Secretary, and not a <br /> union employee. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to defer the appointment <br /> of Administrative Secretary to the Police Department until <br /> August 1, 1996 as requested. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Costa. <br /> T E: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearin -Limousine License: <br /> Selectman Dinizio opened the Public Hearing on the application of <br /> Paradise Limousine, Theodore R. Dickerson,President for a permit to <br /> operate a limousine business at 24 Ryan's Way,#21, Mashpee. <br /> Mr. Dickerson was present to discuss the license application with the <br /> Board and interested public. <br /> As noted,one vehicle will be stored on premises for the purpose of <br /> weddings,proms, trips to Logan, and a night on the town. <br /> Selectman Dinizio opened the Public Hearing to solicit comment. <br /> Being none, Selectman Dinizio requested a voted from the Board to <br /> close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters, <br /> VQTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> It was noted that all necessary paperwork is in order for approval. <br />
