COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> MEETING NOVEMBER 8, 2017 <br /> MASHPEE SENIOR CENTER <br /> Present: Council on Aging Members: David Egel, Irving Goldberg, Jean Noussee, <br /> Marijo Gorney, Virginia McIntyre, Council on Aging Director Lynne Waterman and <br /> Outreach Coordinator Darlene Perkins. <br /> Absent: Norah McCormick, Mary Gaffney <br /> Chairman David Egel opened the meeting at 8:30 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES—October 13, 2017 <br /> Motion: Irving Goldberg moved to approve the minutes of October 11,2017, <br /> seconded by Virginia McIntyre. Vote 5-0 <br /> Public Comments <br /> No Public Comment <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br /> Director Lynne Waterman distributed her report for the month of October. The Director <br /> highlighted she met with several leaders of various ongoing activities, The Director and <br /> Activity Coordinator met with a new Tai Chi instructor, an instructor to teach seniors <br /> how to play the guitar, a volunteer interested in teaching creative writing, and a local <br /> pianist who will perform at the senior center in January. <br /> The Director reported additional repair/maintenance work was performed on the van. <br /> One of the drivers resigned and the van schedule is being revised. The van drivers, <br /> Director, and Outreach Coordinator met for their monthly meeting. <br /> The Director thanked DPW staff for the several small building repairs and their <br /> assistance with the annual cleaning of the floors and rug at the senior center. <br /> The Mature Worker receptionist will return in November following a leave she took in <br /> October. <br /> The Director reviewed a list of several meetings she attended. <br /> The Director noted the Office Assistant updated our agency information on the United <br /> Way Cape Cod Volunteers website and have had a positive response. <br />
