He said John Rent was
at a Design review meeting a couple of weeks ago on this application but
unfortunately Torry said in his haste to leave on vacation he had forgotten to
provide John lent with information on the golf course itself. Tori said this is a
follow-up to that meeting to discuss the course itself, a well as the ticket booth
Torn provided photos of the golf course that the operator is proposing. He said
the course will be provided by an outside firm to the operator and they deliver it
and install it in about one-half day. At the end of the season, they dismantle the
whole thing and move it to a storage unit offsite.
The ground that is in existence will be leveled and they will bring in either
crushed stone or crushed gravel pager to provide a base for the course to be set
upon and they will bring something else for the people to walk between. Toni
Feronti provided a proposed layout from the operator on the dimensions of the
area to be cleared for holes 1 through 18, Tom said the dimensions are a little bit
flexible. His intention is that all 18 holes are accessible to individuals in
wheelchairs.
The ticket sales booth is to be a simple 8X8 shed to be located just south of
holes 1 and 18 which will be the primary entrance. Toni showed a print of the
shed colors and said at this time the operator is proposing to put nothing on the
shed except an address for the Fire Department.
Michael Mendoza advised that if the operator does propose signage then he may
have to submit the signage to Design Review. Torn said he would do so.
Jonathan Furbush asked if electricity will be needed. Tom Feronti responded
that the operator only needs one outlet to plug in an iFad and a light.
