Minutes of Meeting of <br /> Mashpee Design Review Committee <br /> Tuesday, August 15, 2017 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Committee Members Present: Joseph Cummings, Joshua Spencer, Michael <br /> Mendoza, Miles Peters, and William Blaisdell (substituting for Jonathan Furbush). <br /> Michael Mendoza called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m. and stated for the <br /> record that Jonathan Furbush could not attend and in his place William Blaisdell <br /> is attending as ZBA representative. <br /> Project Address: 64 Great Neck Road South <br /> Business name: Laurentide at Mashpee Commons Senior <br /> Living Community. <br /> Owner/Agent: Northbridge Company/BSC Group <br /> Representative: Russell Burke <br /> Re nest: Install a freestanding sign. <br /> Russell Burke appeared and said he is the representative of Laurentide at <br /> Mashpee Commons and that the Applicant is proposing signage for their assisted <br /> living facility on 64 Great Neck Road South. <br /> • Mr. Burke showed a rendering of the sign, which he said would be a <br /> wooden sign. <br /> • Indirect lighting. <br /> • 2 faces to the sign located between 2 posts with lights are ground rooted <br /> at both sides. <br /> • Sign dimension is 26 square feet and placed in an area which is allowed— <br /> in Business I district. <br /> • Sign will be located in front of the property on the easterly side of the <br /> entrance driveway and set back about 10 feet from all property lines. <br /> • Colors: blue lettering; beige background; and gold lettering on the bottom. <br /> Joshua Spencer noted there is grass and sidewalk in the front and questioned <br /> set back. Michael Mendoza commented that Town has to have exact location— <br /> is the location set back 5 feet or 10 feet? <br /> Mike explained that the Town has to know the exact location to be able to <br /> determine zoning compliance and public safety issues, if any. Russell Burke said <br /> he will go to the site and will provide exact location for the sign. <br /> Mike Mendoza said there is no problem in making a motion to approve but the <br /> Building Department must be informed of the exact location in order to issue a <br /> Permit. <br />
