Mashpee Planning and Construction Committee Minutes of Meeting Held Thursday, October 26, 2017 Mashpee Town Hall--Ockway Meeting Room. Committee Members Present: Steve Cook, Joe Brait, and Geoffrey Gorman Also Present: fatty DeBoer, Superintendent Catherine Laurent,DPW The meeting was called to order at 5:15 p.m.. Approval of Minutes Geoff Gorman motioned to accept the minutes of the September 7, 2017 meeting; Steve Cook seconded the motion. Vote: 3 Yes, 0 No Steve Cook,yes. Geoffrey Gorman,yes. Joe Brait,yes. Geoff Gorman motioned to accept the minutes of the September 22, 2017 meeting; Steve Cook seconded the motion. Vote: 2 Yes, 1 Abstain Steve Cook,yes. Geoffrey Gorman,yes. Joe Brait, abstain. Old Business Update on Quashnet School Windows/Roof Project Catherine reported that only two proposals were received in response to RFQ for the CMR--- Boston Building &Bridge Corp. and J.J. Cordosi, Inc.. State statute requires a minimum of three so the proposals were rejected. The normal procurement with filed sub-bids and a bid for a General Contractor will be followed. Selection will be based on the lowest, qualified bid. The RFB was issued yesterday, October 25. The proposed schedule is: October 30 Pre-bid meeting at 3 pm November 14 Filed sub-bids due at 2 pm November 28 General Contract bids due at 2 pra December 4 Contract award by Board of Selectmen By December 22 Window shop drawings submitted By January 2 Shop drawings reviewed by RDA April 23 Windows arrive The schedule is based on a 16 week lead time after ordering of the windows. If this time frame is accurate, the GC would mobilize at the school on April 9 to begin preparations. The phased plan prepared by RDA and MaryKate would be followed,though there may be some discussion with the GC on the scheduled once they are on board.
