Board of Health Vacancy Discussion,
Glen Harrington remarked that he spoke to Christine Willander in the Town Manager's office and she received
permission to advertise the Board of Health vacancy on Mashpee Television. This should help since the
newspaper ads are very expensive. Hopefully, the additional exposure through Mashpee Television on a
regular basis will produce more participation. Mr. Harrington commented that according to the old statute the
Selectmen would be the Board of Health. Ir. Harrington is not certain if the charter is written differently. This
Beard was originally adopted in 1960.
I alliope Egloff suggested posting the Board of Health vacancy on the Turn of Mashpee's webpage and on the
Board of Health website. perhaps create a flyer and forward it to the Mashpee Library, the Lien's and Women's
Clubs# and the council on Aging.
ADDITIONAL TOPICS
None.
DISCUSSION
1 Draft Regulation: Manufactured Housing Regulation.
Glen Harrington remarked that if the Board approves the changes to the draft Manufactured Housing
Regulation he will request a Public Hearing for the next meeting and inform the trailer parks of the date.
I alliope Egloff commented that she would life the contents of the draft Manufactured Housing Regulation to
include a requirement that if an up-to-date list of occupants along with taxes paid in full are not provided, then
no permit be issued for the park. [his. Egloff suggested that reference be made to the Rodent Regulation and
the Demolition Regulation within the Manufactured Housing Regulation. lis. Egloff would also life to include
feedback from the Mashpee Water District within the Drinking Water section of the regulation.
Olen Harrington stated that the distribution systems are required to maintain water pressure during the time of
high usage periods. The Mashpee Water District has the ability at times of high usage to increase the water
pressure in the line via a booster.
Mr. Harrington will incorporate the Board members' comments into the Manufactured Housing Regulation and
present it back to thea for their approval before advertising the regulation for a Public Hearing.
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Board of Health is scheduled for Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 7:00 PM.
