{ <br /> 411 Pt <br /> 16 Great Neck RoadNorth <br /> 4 <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> BOARD of HEALTH PUBLIC SESSION <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of July 20, 201 <br /> Board Members Present: Also Present; <br /> Brian Baumgaertel, Chair Glen Harrington, Health Agent <br /> Laurel Almquist, Co-Chair <br /> Mallory Langier, Clerk <br /> Chair Brian Baumgaertel called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. <br /> APPOINTMENTS <br /> 7:15 P — dousing violation— 171 west Way. <br /> Glen Harrington stated that the owner of 171 West Way has withdrawn the request for a hearing concerning <br /> the housing violation. <br /> 7:20 P — Housing violation — 133 Quinaquisset Avenue. <br /> Glen Harrington stated that a housing inspection occurred on April 12, 2017, at 133 Quinaquisset Avenue. An <br /> order to correct the violation was sent on April 18, 2017, and received on April 20, 2017. on April 18, 2017, the <br /> owner emailed the Health Agent requesting additional time until the occupants move out. Mr. Harrington <br /> informed the owner that the court judgement did net den} her access to the dwelling so the repairs could still <br /> be completed. To-date, no Knowledge of work has leen performed. No requests for-follow--up inspections have <br /> been made. <br /> The owner did not contact the Health Department until the second fine letter was received. The owner <br /> requested an appeal hearing of the order to pay fines. <br /> The Assistant Health Agent went to the property today and noticed that a true was in the driveway and the <br /> window was open. It was her opinion that someone was living in the dwelling. The owner had previously stated <br /> she would not be renting the property again. The former occupznt reported that a nearby abutter had moved in, <br /> Deborah McGonagle, owner of 133 Quinaquisset Avenue, introduced herself to the Board. <br /> Ms. McGonagle remarked that neighbors are renting the house and helping her with the repairs of the house in <br /> exchange for rental payments. The former tenants did not pay rent for several months and would not allow her <br /> access into the house. They were evicted a month ago. lolls. Mc onagle's funds have been limited since rent <br /> was withheld and she had not been working because of illness. The doors were replaced, the registers were <br /> installed on the heating vents, the appliances were replaced, and electrical work was repaired. Doors were <br /> replaced by a handy man about 2 or 3 weeks ago, and an invoice will be provided. <br /> Joseph Ferreira IV, lease holder of the 133 Quinaquisset Avenue, introduced-himself-to-the Board. <br /> Mr. Ferreira remarked that he obtained the property for his custodial grandchildren. When they moved in, Mr. <br /> Ferreira cleaned the property and made necessary repairs. Some of the restorations required contractors, as <br /> the foundation needed repairs, and there was mold in the basement. <br /> 1 <br />
