V <br /> �,'{{, <br /> + Y <br /> 16 Greal Reck Road ort <br /> r <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> BOARD of HEALTH - PUBLIC SESSION <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of August 24, 2017 <br /> Board Members Present: Also Present: <br /> Brian Baumgaertel, chair Glen Harrington, Health Agent <br /> Laurel Almquist, Co-Chair <br /> Mallory Langler, Clerk <br /> Chair Brian Baumpertel called the meeting to order at 7:01 PM. <br /> APPOINTMENTS <br /> 7:15 MVI — Condemnation Hearing— 133 Quina uis et Avenue. <br /> Glen Harrington stated that the August 3, 2017, meeting 1J'Ifas continued to review the violations at 133 <br /> Quinaquisset Avenue. At that time it was noted that 4 violations were corrected. Actually, 6 of the 22 violations <br /> were rectified. However, none of the more critical violations were addressed. At that point the Board of Health <br /> voted to hold a condemnation Hearing to determine whether or not an order should be issued to consider the <br /> dwelling or a portion of the dwelling unfit for habitation. The Assistant Health Agent performed an inspection to <br /> determine the progress of the corrected violations. All of the Section 70 violations or more critical violations' <br /> have been corrected. The windows are all operating, but there are no screens. The screens are expected to be <br /> ordered and installed. there are 5 remaining violations, one 'of whi'ch has not fret been completed. A carpenter <br /> will need to handle the 4 remaining violations. <br /> Deborah McGonagle, owner of 1uinaquisset Avenue, introduced herself to the Board. <br /> Ills. [McGonagle remarked that the screens will be ordered and installed. The 4 remaining violations will be <br /> corrected next week by a handyman. <br /> Mallory Langler requested that Ms. Mc onangle provide a receipt that the screens have been ordered. <br /> Laurel Almquist made a motion that the Board of Health continue the discussion on 133 Qu inaqu islet Avenue <br /> to the next scheduled Board of Health meeting scheduled on September 7,. o17. Mallory Langler Seconded <br /> the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> 7:20 PIVI -- condemnation Hearing--4 Tri-Town Circle. <br /> Glen Harrington commented that a continuance was requested from the attorney representative, Brian Wall, for <br /> Richard Halpern for the condemnation Hearing for the property located at 4 Tri-Town circle to the next Board <br /> of Health meeting. <br /> Mallory Langler made a motion that the Board of Health continue the Condemnation Hearing for 4 Tri-Town <br /> Circle to the next Hoard of Health meeting scheduled on September 7, 2017. Laurel Almquist seconded the <br /> motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1* sign Expense warrants. The Board members signed the expense warrant, <br /> 1 . <br />
