t <br /> r <br /> Mashpee Historic District Commission <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> September 11,2017 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Ma.shpee Town Mall <br /> Historic District Commission Members Present: Earl Mills, Sr.,,Dennis Balzarim', Jessie Baird, <br /> Brian Hyde, Mike Robbins <br /> Also- Tom.Fudala-Town Planner <br /> Absent: Brad Pittsley <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The Town of Mashpee Historic District Commission meeting was called to order with a quorum b <br /> Chairman Mills at 6:30 p.m, an Monday, September 11, 2017* <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES December 21,2016 & August 30,2017 <br /> MOTION: Mr.Hyde made a motion to approve the December 21 minutes as printed. Mr. <br /> Balzarini seconded the motion. 4 yes, I abstain <br /> MOTION: Mr.Hyde made a motion to approve the minutes of August 30th* Mr. Balzarini <br /> seconded the'motion. 4 yes, I abstain <br /> CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS <br /> Applicant: Iauhahout Beer Company LLC <br /> Location* 13 Labe Avenue <br /> Request: Approval of Certificate of Appropriateness for building exterior and site pian <br /> It was confrm.ed that the revised plans had been submitted to the Historic District on='ssicn, and <br /> members reviewed the plans. Peter Murner, cc-owner of Naukabout Beer Company,was present to <br /> discuss theirp p r esed changes. Mr* Murner indicated that the most significant of the changes were the <br /> alteration from board and batten to natural shingles and the calor cranberry to white trim. Mr. Murner <br /> walked through additional changes to include the addition of trim details, reconfirmed bathrooms <br /> resulting in higher windows,the addition of a door in back for staff access, a smaller cupola with no <br /> lighting and a reconfigured stairwell along the left side of the building. <br /> Mr. Fudala stated that the plans had been considered by plan Review and Design-Review. Flan <br /> Review requested that a deck at least 5 feet wide he installed in place of the 4' "deck shown on the <br /> p plans,lans, tc allow better access to the second floor offices, in case of an emergency. The plan <br /> has been amended to show a full roof deck well in excess ofthe nu'm'mum 5 foot width requested. It <br /> was also noted that a typographical error on the plan that had the front door color as cranberry has been <br /> correc,ted to show that it will be white; Mr. Fudala stated that the Historic Dlst6ctCommission's <br /> jurisdiction involved anything visible from public property, which surrounded the site. Mr. Fudala <br /> indicated that the planning Board had noted the front fenced area with a ramp to the overhead door, <br /> iliiā¢. Murner stated that an access gate would,be added to.the fence. Mr. Fudala inquired about the type <br /> of fencing to be used, and.Mr. Murner responded that it would be traditional, such as a split rail or <br /> IP farm style fence. Mr. Fudala inquired about authorizing Commission approval of the fence and there <br /> was consensus that fencing would he a condition and the Chair would sign off on the fence design. <br /> I <br />
