1. <br /> The Chair suggested bringing in the different agencies to the Human Services meetings. <br /> It was also suggested visiting the different agencies by some of the members at their site. <br /> The Chair suggested inviting the Mashpee Housing Authority to their next meeting. <br /> There was a discussion on housing and how the Town of Mashpee needs to be more <br /> proactive. <br /> The Director distributed a copy of the budget and the members reviewed the numbers. <br /> The Chair noted the $3,500 for the Substance Use Task Force was not included and the <br /> Director stated she will look into this._ <br /> Director's Report <br /> The Director distributed flyers and cards to be given out for the project she and the <br /> Mashpee Substance Use Task Force has been working on for their Drop In Night, She <br /> stated she is so impressed with the work of this committee. She listed some of the <br /> members who attended their last meeting and noted there is so Hauch dedication from this <br /> group. There will be Narcan training and child care and the group is encouraging people <br /> to reach out to someone who could use some help, The Director noted The Community <br /> Health Center is prodding the food for the night. Lynne Waterman acknowledged <br /> Outreach Coordinator Darlene Perkins who attended a Massachusetts Council on Aging <br /> Workshop where EB Hope was presented and Darlene then presented xt to the committee. <br /> Frank noted this is a long term commitment according to EB Hope and people shouldn't <br /> get discouraged in their efforts. There were several suggestions as to where to advertise <br /> this event. . <br /> The Director mentioned she has been nominated as the Upper Cape Representative to the <br /> Barnstable County Health and Human Services Advisory Council. <br /> Lynne Waterman stated she and the Director had a very good meeting with the Visiting <br /> Nurses Association and requested several programs for the seniors: Brain Fitness Fair, <br /> Health Fain Chronic Fain Support Group, Tai Chi, and Strong Class and Zengevity <br /> (exercise group). The Director stated she suggested a young mothers' support group a <br /> while ago and the vNA. said they will work on it. <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> The Director thanked bonnie warden for all of the work she did on the Food Drive at <br /> Town.Meeting. <br /> NEXT MEETING SCHEDULIE <br /> Next meeting June 15, 2017 <br /> Motion: Frank Fantasia moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mary <br /> Bradbury. vote unanimous -o <br />
