In total for the public housing MRVP, Great Cove and <br /> Asher's Path there are 575 people on the waiting list. The average walling time if you're <br /> a Mashpee resident is 3 to 5 years and if not, 5 to 10 years. <br /> Frank Fantasia stated he is an advocate for increasing affordable housing stock in the <br /> Town ofMashpee, Leila stated she is proposing to use CPC funds to help with a large <br /> down payment on a hone to keep the mortgage low* Frank felt single family homes is <br /> not the answer and we have to be open to multiple unit development to tale the edge off <br /> this crisis, <br /> Lynne Waterman stated they are encouraging people to apply to towns in addition to <br /> Cape Cod because the chance of them getting housing is better. Frank appreciated the <br /> amount of information he received at this meeting and suggested making it known to <br /> people. Leila noted all the info is on their website. She said she just came from a State <br /> meeting in Boston where the online.application will be centralized. It is an online <br /> application that will go to ever Dousing Authority. The members suggested having a <br /> public meeting with the Housing Authority, have the Housing Authority at a table at <br /> Drop In Dight and have a table at the County Fair, <br /> Contracts <br /> Fold until next meeting <br /> TheDirector's Report <br /> The Director stated at the next meeting she invited Deborah McKie, Director, Fairwinds, <br /> to come and speak. <br /> She said she was impressed with everyone working on the Drop In Night. Members of <br /> the Task Force all helped with different aspects of the night. 'The work now will be to <br /> reach out to local organizations, we will be delivering cards to the Police Department <br /> across the Cape.
