Kathy Mahoney–Library Director <br /> Audience: Sandra 14orsman–Mashpee Resident <br /> Joan Lyons, Chair, called the meeting to order at 4:12 p.m. Joan stated that since! Carlo D'Este chose to <br /> not run for re-election to the Board of Trustees she wanted to tale this oppol-tunity to express <br /> appreciation to Carlo for serving so diligently as a Library Trustee for over 21 years. The Trustees <br /> applauded and congratulated Carlo for all those years of service and for all his efforts as a Trustee. <br /> Joan also expressed thanks to Kate Milde and Marr Wright for serving as Library Trustees these past 3 <br /> years. <br /> Public Discussion...To be addressed following the regular business session agenda items. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> MOTION,6 Mark Wright motioned to accept the Regular Meeting minutes of April 12, 2017 as written. <br /> Motion was seconded by Kate Milde. <br /> VOTE: Yes-5; 1-Abstain. <br /> Roll Call vote: Allen waters,fires Marr Wright,yes <br /> Kate Milde,yes Mary LeClair,yes <br /> Joan Lyons,yes Carlo D"Este, abstain <br /> Friends of the MashjRee Librax <br /> Kate Milde reported as follows: <br /> Friends are very busy. At last meeting they covered a number of topics. <br /> Pausing on the celebration garden for now—that is, no more plantings to be added at this time. Kathy <br /> stated that she would suggest going forward with the benches in the garden, even though no more <br /> plantings to be done at this point. <br /> Working on an annual fundraising appeal drive. <br /> They will be doing a raffle similar to what the school did. Drawings to be hold August I through <br /> August 3 1. Kathy Mahoney commented that the Friends are planning tolaunch their raffle at the <br /> upcoming Mashpee Chamber of Commerce dinner. <br /> Working on having an author event. <br /> Friends have$25,000 a year as their fundraising goal. <br /> Kathy Mahoney added that the Selander event was a success. She said the Friends had sponsors for all 18 holes <br /> so they probably would realize about a 1,000 benefit from the event. <br /> Kathy said the Friends subcommittee was meeting today to work on a tri-fold brochure to be used for their <br /> annual appeal. <br />
