Nichols <br /> Attendees: Members: Brian Mauro, Barbara Nichols <br /> Guests: <br /> The minutes of the January 26, 2017 meeting were accepted as written after a motion by Brian Mauro and <br /> second by Barbara Nichols <br /> Agenda to <br /> Pies <br /> [Agendalopic 1] Labe level/River outflow, <br /> Discussion: On February 1"and I tri the lake levels were both 5 5.3 Ft, above sea level wzth11 and 12.5 <br /> inches of water flowing over the boards and 4 and.5 inches flova'ng its the strum. On March 1't and 15'h <br /> the levels were again 55.3 ft. above sea level With 13 and 8 inches flowhig over the boards and 4 and 7. <br /> inches of grater in the stream by the stairs. Levels were sent to Drew McManus in Conservation, and he <br /> was notified 1n February that a dead tree had fallen 1n the path and sign was standing i�the lake and <br /> should be removed. For several years, the level has been at 55.5 ft. on larch 1't and in 2017 it is 2.4 <br /> inches lower. prior to March 1 st, DPW cleaned sand out the both sides of the outlet. Sand dredged out <br /> may need to be trucked out in the future as space is limited. DPW was placing sand.bales/silt fencing to <br /> contain sand from d <br /> gong into the wetlands adjacent to the river March . <br /> Sand removal at Mill fond was completed over several days in February using a vac machine bobcat and <br /> damp truck to cart the sand away. <br /> Conclusions: Spring clean out of sand has been completed. The lake is at 55.3 ft,, down from the usual <br /> 55.5 ft.. on March 1 <br /> [Agenda topic ] Dam Inspection <br /> Discussion: It is believed that the dam inspections at Rte, 130 were completed <br /> Y but no results are et <br /> F 7 i <br /> a Rable. Conservation has been replacing the old.flashboards in the fish ladder*which was recommended <br /> when the last inspection was done. Removal of trees and goody vegetation from the embankment <br /> between trill Pond and Rte. 130 was also recommended. Catherine Laurent has been coordinating the <br /> inspection with Com(company chosen for'inspection <br /> Conclusions: The results of the dam inspections are not yet available. <br />
