Ms. Ronhock requested the Board uphold the rights of Town Meeting voting against
the zoning bylaw amendment to include within the Wireless Facility Overlay District a parcel of
Town-owned land on Red Brook Road so that a proposed cell tower could be permitted on the
property. Ms. Ronhock respectfully requested the Board uphold their responsibility and nullify the
lease with Blue Sky Towers to build a 150' cell tower in a residential area as the property is not
zoned for cell towers of that size.
Diane Scannel echoed the concerns of Ms. Ronhock and expressed curiosity as to why the cell tower
project has not been cancelled. Ms. Scannel made note of the Town's vision statement where
Mashpee is, and shall remain, a small town community whose members choose to live in harmony
with one another and with nature, known for its leadership ability and creativity in educating and
serving its residents.
