7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 28, 2019 <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Vision Workshop/Topic: Housing- Update on 950 Falmouth Road Project Monday, March 4, 2019, <br /> 6:30 p.m. at the Mashpee Town Hall. The Housing Assistance Corporation (HAC) will be invited to <br /> attend, <br /> Regulatory Boards including the Affordable Housing Committee, Mashpee Housing Authority and <br /> Affordable Housing Trust would be invited to attend this meeting. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Approval of Beach Sticker pees: <br /> Mary Bradbury, Recreation Director met with the Board of Selectmen to recommend an increase in <br /> the Resident Beach Sticker prices to offset wages and increased costs associated with beach <br /> operations and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts minimum wage increase for hourly employees. <br /> The current Resident Beach Sticker fee is $30. It is recommended the fee be increased to $35. The <br /> fee has been consistent for the past five years. <br /> It was agreed this discussion would be continued to review overall costs of providing this service to <br /> possibly equally adjust the Non-Residential Sticker fees which are currently $50 per permit. Ms. <br /> Bradbury indicated she would provide a breakdown of the overall costs for the next meeting. It was <br /> noted that 274 Mashpee Veterans took advantage of the free sticker program for veterans. <br /> Discussion and Approval of Appointment to Waterways Commission: Richard P. Noonan: <br /> Mashpee Waterways Commission Chair Ken Bates was in attendance to request the Board of <br /> Selectmen support the recommendation of the Waterways Commission to appoint Richard P. Noonan <br /> as a voting member. <br /> Mr. Noonan was present and reviewed his interest in providing a contribution to the Mashpee <br /> community. Mr.Noonan indicated he is an experienced boater and has been volunteering his services <br /> for the past two years conducting water quality testing for the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to appoint Richard P. Noonan to the Waterways <br /> Commission. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed, none <br />
