t School Committee Meeting May 240 2017 Minutes Present were: Don Mayers,George Schmidt, Chris Santos and Nicole Bartlett. Geoff Gorman (remote). Also present was Patricia DeBoer, Superintendent and Paul Funk, Business Manager. Call Meeting to order Mr. Myers called the meeting to order @635 pm il. Pledge of Allegiance 111111. *School Committee Reorganization Mr. Santos made a motion, seconded by Mr.Schmidt to nominate Don Myers as the Chairman. Roll kali Vote: In favor -Mrs. Bartlett, Mir. Gorman, Mr.Santos, Mr. Schmidt and Mfr. Myers-opposed—none. Mr. Myers made a ,notion, seconded by Mrs. Bartlett to nominate Chris Santos as the slice Chairman, Roll Call Vot : In favor- Mrs. Bartlett, Mr. Gormanr Mr. Santos, Mr.Schmidt and Mr. Myers-opposed—none. Mr. Myers made a ,motion, seconded by Mr. Santos to nominate Geoff Gorman as secretary4 Roll Call vote-, In favor--Mrs. Bartlett, Mr, Gorman,n, MI r. Santos, Mr, Schmidt and Mr. Myers-opposed—none,, Mrs. Bartlett expressed her interest in serving as the liaison to the Cape Cod Collaborative. Mr. Schmidt expressed his interest in remaining as the liaison on the Substance Abuse Task Fo rce At the next meeting the Committee will vote on the Sub-Committee and Liaisons ,members. Iv. Acknowledgement 5.1 Parent email Mrs. DeBoer read an e-mail from a parent praising the K.C. wombs school. 5.2 Introduction of new Assistant Superintendent Mrs. DeBoer introduced Dr. Hope Hanscom, new Assistant Superintendent to the Committee. 5.3 Introduction of new S ecial Education Director Illus. DeBoer introduced Jamie Curley, new Special Education Director to the Committee. vl" *Approval of Minutes Mr. Santos made a motion,seconded by Mr.Schmidt to approve the minutes of May 10, 2017.
